Full Journal pdf2006-05-06 House Journal Page 3740 SB 271 The following, which was advanced to third reading from the May 5, 2006, calendar (page 3690), was read the third time: 2006-05-06 House Journal Page 3741 SENATE BILL NO. 271 "An Act authorizing the commissioner of transportation and public facilities to participate in certain federal highway programs and relating to that authorization; relating to powers of the attorney general to waive immunity from suit in federal court related to those programs; and providing for an effective date." Representative Gardner moved and asked unanimous consent that SB 271 be returned to second reading for the specific purpose of considering Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representative Gardner: Insert a new bill section to read: "* Sec. __. Sections 1 and 2 are repealed in August 2011." Representative Gardner moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. There was objection. Representative Gardner moved and asked unanimous consent to withdraw Amendment No. 1. There being no objection, it was so ordered. The question being: "Shall SB 271 pass the House?" Representative Coghill moved the effective date clause. The question being: "Shall the effective date clause be adopted?"
